Matt Umholtz has spent more than two decades in payroll, human capital management, and technology. He began his career in sales at a large publicly traded payroll provider, where he developed a foundation in selling, leadership, training, and customer relationships.
In 2012, Matt founded PaySphere, a payroll and HR technology company built around a simple belief: customers and employees should never feel like numbers. Under his leadership, PaySphere grew into a nationally recognized business and earned multiple appearances on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.
Following a strategic transaction involving PaySphere, Matt joined AllianceHCM, where he has held senior executive leadership roles across revenue, growth, and strategy. Today, as President and Chief Strategy Officer, Matt works across the organization to help shape long-term strategy, product direction, go-to-market execution, partnerships, and organizational priorities.
